About Cole Diamond

Early Life

In 2009, Cole Diamond co-founded TalentEgg.com, a popular job site that connected students and recent graduates with entry-level career opportunities and internships. During the same time, he served as Vice President of Business Development at YTZ Management Inc., an affiliate network marketing company. Not long after this, Cole founded The Gift Network, an online marketplace for boutique gifts, which he grew into Canada’s largest selection gift registry. His early ventures showcased his ability to spot gaps in the marketplace and create successful businesses meant to fill them, setting the foundation for his future enterprises.

Career

One of Cole Diamond’s most significant achievements came in 2017 when he co-founded Coinsquare, which would quickly become Canada’s top cryptocurrency exchange. As CEO of the company, he spearheaded several major rounds of financing, raising $5 million in October 2017, $10 million the following month, and an impressive $35 million in early 2018. These efforts solidified Coinsquare’s position in the market, and by 2021, Cole arranged multiple rounds of exits for shareholders, with company valuations between $250 million and $500 million.

Never one to shy away from new challenges, Cole extended his reach beyond cryptocurrency. One of his next projects was to revitalize Ghost Kitchens International, a virtual kitchen company reshaping the food delivery industry. He remains a major shareholder to this day. Cole Diamond’s presence in the North American hospitality industry also grew with his role as the controlling shareholder of Vela, a Michelin-rated restaurant in Toronto. Simultaneously, he became a significant investor and director in Stella, a 200-seat fine-dining Italian restaurant in Los Angeles, which is also Michelin-rated and soon became a celebrity hotspot after opening its doors.
